What is Medical Street?
Medical Street is a Ugandan health technology company building digital infrastructure that connects people, healthcare providers, suppliers, insurers and financial systems to make healthcare more accessible, affordable, connected and intelligent.
Is Medical Street an online pharmacy?
No. Medical Street is a health technology ecosystem. The Marketplace connects healthcare buyers with verified suppliers, but the company spans intelligence (Haya), provider and supplier platforms, healthcare financing (LifeCare Credits) and insurance connectivity.
What is Haya?
Haya is the Medical Street intelligence layer — AI that helps users and healthcare professionals interact with healthcare information, workflows and services through natural language, under strict permission controls. Explore Haya.
Are LifeCare Credits insurance?
No. LifeCare Credits are healthcare credits — a way to prepare funds for healthcare, usable exclusively for healthcare. They are not an insurance policy and do not transfer risk.
Who can sell on the Marketplace?
Verified suppliers of healthcare products. Applications go through verification and catalog approval before products are visible to buyers. Become a supplier.
Who can use the Provider Platform?
Hospitals, clinics and pharmacies. The platform covers patient management, clinical workflows, EMR/HMIS, pharmacy, billing, claims, procurement and analytics — with role-based access for staff.
How does Medical Street protect health data?
Through role-based and permission-based access control, encryption, secure authentication, audit trails, data minimization, API security and transaction monitoring. See our security approach. We do not make certification claims that have not been verified and approved.
Which countries does Medical Street serve?
Medical Street is built in Uganda, with expansion focused on East Africa and long-term ambition across Africa.
Does this website provide medical advice?
No. Website content is informational and does not replace professional medical care. Product demonstrations (such as the Haya chat example) are simulated interfaces, not live medical services.
